Moralea Milne was an amazing woman. Passionate about the environment, fiercely determined, energetic and warmhearted, she was guided by an overwhelming desire to protect our planet. She led the way educating and inspiring others to follow.

Moralea had a resolute commitment to making Metchosin the best community it could be. Her contributions to the community were extensive. Highlights include:

A strong believer in partnerships and collaboration, Moralea worked to establish relationships between the District of Metchosin Council and the Sc’ianew (Beecher Bay) First Nation

Moralea educated herself to speak and act for the environment by graduating from UVic’s Restoration of Natural Systems program. She was an outstanding advocate for ecosystem protection. Highlights include:

Moralea published a blog from 2008 to 2014 covering her many interests. Some of the people pictured years ago pulling broom from Devonian Park are Moralea’s Meadow volunteers today.
